St. Ignatius School's extended day program is a strategy used to address student learning needs, foster academic progress, and offer opportunities to thrive outside the classroom.
The extended day also ensures that students remain in a safe and secure environment during a time of the day where many children can be susceptible to at-risk behavior and circumstances.
School begins at 7:30am and ends at 6:00pm. The schedule is as follows:
7:30 – Doors Open/ Breakfast Provided
7:45 – Morning Assembly
8:00 – Morning Classes Start
10:52 – 11:07 – Mid-Day Assembly
11:10-11:50 – Lunch/Structured Recess
11:55 – Afternoon Classes
2:30-4:15 – Drop Everything And Read (D.E.A.R.) / Homework and Study Sessions (H.A.S.S.)
4:15-5:00 – Directions for our Youth (D.F.O.Y.) extracurricular activities
St. Ignatius School’s 11 month program is enhanced by a mandatory summer leadership camp for all students. Students further develop their leadership and academic skills through a variety of scholastic programs and also take part in sports, arts, and theatre.
